If you've moved your pet, describe your move (from where to where, the challenges you faced, new places you've found, how your pets fared, airlines you used, etc.)
I moved from the US to Budapest Hungary.
A nice lady named Jane Edwards helped me with the paperwork in Houston. My only mistake was I did not understnad that the papers had to be fed exed to Austin Texas for some government approval and returned to me in the last 10 days before my move. When I found out, I had to leave work in a panic and drive to Austin (about 3.5 hours), then beg someone at the governement building to let me in without an appointment. But..it worked.
I flew on KLM, as Jane Edwards recommended them - they fly the Olympic horses. So my first flight was from Houston to Amsterdam (10 hours). When I got to Amsterdam, they paged me in the airport during my layover - just to tell me that my dog was fine, and that the stewardess would inform me when my dog was loaded on my connecting flight. And the stewardess did inform me...
when I arrived in Budapest, a man came out from the baggage area with my dog's crate on a cart and handed it to me. That was it - I just wheeled her outside and off we went!
My dog was fine - but she is a very sedate and relaxed sort anyway. I will say that she did not go near the crate for several weeks......and before the trip, she would go sleep in it occasionally.
