Hey David, if you are planning on driving - I would get the biggest crate possible and a small litter box in the back...or, find a way to screen in your entire backseat and enjoy the ride! :-)

Rocco, thanks bud, very nice of you to offer your knowledge! What is the best way to transport my cat in the car? I'm not sure how to begin the feeding and bathroom breaks thing. Especially on a 4500 mile trip. Any advice?

I'm doing the same, or close. Moving from FL to AK and traveling through Canada along the way. Any advice would be very much appreciated. I have a Jeep and plan on putting the cat in a kennel in the back but not sure about feeding and bathroom…
