If you don't want to use a professional service, then you should look into flying Mango on Continental Airlines. They have the best PetSafe program and keep pets in climate control the entire time. However PetRelocation.com can do a great job…

I am currently doing the same thing. I am already in Hawaii trying to get my Chihuahua to Honolulu from Texas. So you have started the quarantine process, that is the most important thing to do. Just closely follow the steps for the direct-realease…

Help me get Mango to Hawaii! I don't know where to start or what to do. It's a military relocation...if that helps.

Chihuahua from Texas to Hawaii

HI....PLZZZZZ someone help me! I am so confused! I don't know what is the best method to get my beloved Chi, Mango, back to Hawaii from Texas. I have done all the rabies testing and most of the other paper work that goes along with his move. What I need is some advice... I have been researching for days now on how to get him over here....calling different pet moving companies, asking about their services, and some say they will call me back, other want me to join their membership club. Some of…See More

Profile Information

If you already moved...Where did you move to?
Hawaii
Have you moved your pet(s) before?
Yes
If you've moved your pet, describe your move (from where to where, the challenges you faced, new places you've found, how your pets fared, airlines you used, etc.)
Mango was born in Australia and shipped to Hawaii, which is where we got him. We moved from Hawaii to Texas via United Airlines. He was carry-on bagage and fared well, although the 6 hour flight from Honolulu to California was long and he wanted out a few times. I was able to let him walk around during our layover. We then flew Continental for the rest of our journey. We moved back to Hawaii and we are trying to get him here. I am stuck on how to do it...We have done the rabies tests and all that important paperwork, I am just at a loss now on my next step.
If you're thinking of or planning on moving your pet, when are you planning on moving?
I want to move him in September sometime, hopefully.

The following is required:

Rabies Vaccinations:

Pet has been vaccinated at least twice for rabies in its lifetime.
These rabies vaccines were administered more than 90 days apart.
The most recent rabies vaccination was done no more than 12 months prior to it’s date of arrival in Hawaii for a 1-year rabies vaccine, or no more than 36 months prior to it’s date of arrival for a 3-year rabies vaccine.
The most recent rabies vaccination was done no less than 90 days before pet’s date of arrival in Hawaii.
The date and type of vaccine must be indicated on the pet’s vaccination and health certificate.

2. Microchip
3. OIE-FAVN Rabies Blood Test

Original health certificate in English, which was done within 10 days of arrival in Hawaii including rabies vaccine name, lot or serial number, booster interval, vaccination date and expiration date.
Pets must be treated for ticks with a product containing Fipronil or an equivalent, long-acting product (Revolution is not acceptable) within 14 days of arrival and the product name and date of treatment is recorded on health certificate.

I hope this help to start the process
