Melancholic Second Album by the Oasis

The Oasis is the British rock band which was formed in 1991. The album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? was released in 1995. It was the second album of the band.
The first time I listened to the band’s album was after I defended my college term paper writing and my brother presented me the second album the Oasis. The thing is that he adores the band. Frankly speaking, I did not hear anything special. But still, I enjoyed some of the tracks. For example, I liked the Talk Tonight. When I heard the Don’t Look Back I Anger I was astonished a bit. I have read lots of essays writings, and the majority of the critics tend to think that the music by the Oasis is a bit similar to the Beatles’ one. So, when I listened to the Don’t Look Back I Anger it seemed to me that I was listening to the Imagine by John Lennon. I understand that Beatles were great musicians, but I do not understand why their songs should be sampled and used as the basis for this or that track.
The theme of the (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? album is the problem of unsuccessful relationships. What I liked in the album is that the lyrics are not too sentimental. On the contrary, songs are melancholic but not tearful. Of course, it should be mentioned that the album became the proof that the Oasis can create not only hard rock compositions but also rock ballads.
