REQUIREMENTS FOR CATS TO NEW ZEALAND
1) Export certificate from your country's Animal Health Authorities
2) Cats need a Microchip
3) Cats need to up to date with annual vaccination more than 14 days not more than 12 months prior to export
4) Cats need to have two faecal sample tests lab tested for hookworm eggs not more than 30 days prior to export but 14 days apart.
5) Cats need to be wormed twice within 30 days of export, at least 14 days apart (this is best done first at the time of the primary faecal tests, and second at the time of completion of export certificate- see point 7 below).
6) If all tests are negative (we can proceed).
7) Within 96 hours (but no less than 48 hours) of departure your cat needs to be examined by a vet where section (a) of the export paperwork must be completed and your cat treated for internal & external parasites. This will need to be discussed prior to export.
8) On day of departure we require your cat, completed export paperwork (originals), vaccination records & all test results (copies will be fine).
