My Pet Move

See. Spot. Move.

Inception was one of the brightest and the most expected premiere of 2010. The critics called it new Matrix. More than 160 million dollars were spent on it; the ads took about 100 million dollars.

These expenses are justified by the high quality of the movie and its success. When a blockbuster is directed by Christopher Nolan, it is destined to be successful – remember his Batman Begins, Prestige and The Dark Knight. Inception is a movie based on the idea of the realm’s unreality. This concept has already been presented in the movies, as well as the concept of synchronous dreaming. Matrix, eXistenZ and some other movies were made when Nolan was thinking over the plot of his Inception. But the movie is generally quite interesting and impressive. The main characters use a special technology to break into the dreams and instill ideas into the consciousness or steal information from the memory. Gradually they begin to mix up the dreams and the reality. The leader of the inceptors Dom Cobb (starring Leonardo DiCaprio) lost his wife (who took the real world for a dream and committed a suicide to wake up). He has two children in the USA, but lives in Europe, because he has been declared a criminal in America.

The psychologists accuse Nolan of too much logics and naturalism in the depiction of dreams and the subconscious. But of we abstract from the custom paper writing on freudism and research papers writing about the controlled dreaming, the movie is great and deserves its high rating.
